Local filmmakers debut new short film
“Santa Cruz filmmaker Jono Schaferkotter is throwing a party to celebrate the completion of his new short film titled “Spaceman.” Back in the summer of 2007, Schaferkotter opened his feature-length zombie film “The Beginning” in Santa Cruz to a packed house.
… [Spaceman} is a fanciful vignette of a romantic encounter… Actors Hamid Nayini and Jennifer Allcott make for an appealing couple, and with nicely understated special effects and original music by Tyler Packford and Rachel Williams, Schaferkotter has created a resonant metaphor for the difficulties of feeling out a relationship.”
